Our October meeting will be a joint event with the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council. As this is a special event, please note the special date and time and that registration is required.
We work tirelessly to bring you a variety of InfoSec content every month. We talk about blue team, identity management, SIEM, and even legal issues. But we know….we know it’s the dark arts you fancy. This month we’re teaming up with our friends at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council to bring you a double benny: deep technical content presented by local talent!
This virtual event brings volunteers from across the New River Valley showing off their favorite exploit against a stock Windows 7 install. Up to 10 participants will be giving a short demonstration of their exploit. Participants will be pre-selected from a pool of applicants to ensure you see a variety of attack types.
Registration is required with a $5 fee – please follow this link to register at the RBTC page.
This virtual event will be held on Thursday, October 29th, from 3:00 – 5:00pm.
Participants Wanted!
The event is still open for interested participants. If you are interested in participating and potentially demonstrating a vulnerability follow the link below to apply. Participants will be provided access to an environment in the Virginia Cyber Range to test their exploit and prepare their demonstration. Leadership from the RBTC and RISE will select ~8-10 presenters from the application pool to ensure a variety of demos relevant to the community. Additional information is available at the application page. Follow this link to apply as a potential presenter at this event.
